What types of exercises will I be doing?

This question is not always easy to answer as we try and tailor each holiday’s exercises to the individuals attending.  However as a rough guide they are likely to be a mixture of the below.


Longer duration exercises:

Walking, cycling, rowing and even stand up paddle boarding are all examples of the kind of things we do as a group.  The venues we choose are perfect for these types of activities.

All the longer duration sessions are designed around the individual that is attending the course - you will only try things you are comfortable doing.

BENEFITS: Decreased blood pressure, Boosts your mood, uses lot’s of kcals - the basic of weight loss, increases your stamina, strengthens your heart and respiratory system, lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and improves your general health and well being.

Personal training sessions:


These sessions really are tailored to your exact goals so they can be anything such as learning to run for the first time, using weights and other gym equipment or even taking part in non-contact boxing using pads and gloves - this is a firm favourite amongst past guests to get the heart pumping not to mention great fun!


The personal training sessions normally incorporate a combination of things over the week so you can experience different areas of exercises.  We often use circuit training sessions which are a fantastic way of combining resistance exercise and aerobic exercise.


Circuits unfortunately have earned an unfair reputation as being a bit hard, we hope you will dismiss this once you’ve tried ours!


BENEFITS:  On our courses we aim to offer a balance of resistance (to help tone and strengthen your body) and aerobic (to help increase your fitness and burn calories) exercises as part of the personal training but the whole point is its personal so we can easily tailor all sessions to your needs.
