Why only 5 days? - the norm is 7 isn't it?

Up until last year (2008) we predominantly ran 7 day health, fitness and weight loss holidays at the Corrour estate.

Our past courses ran from Saturday to Saturday, but like the majority of other courses out there, we did not really start the activities until the Sunday morning and then finished on the following Saturday morning with guests leaving after breakfast - so in effect the exercises ran Sunday to Friday night - 6 days.

We had comments and feedback from guests that said they really enjoyed the holiday but asked whether it could be any shorter.  In addition to this we thought guests should not have to pay for an extra 2 nights where they are not really doing much.

We did not want to decrease the intensity of what we did - after all guests want to make the most of their time here and they have made some great changes in that time - so we looked at ways of condensing the content in to a shorter period.

Why we don’t
promote rapid
Weight loss

After a few trials Monday to Friday seemed to work the best - the guests were still able to take in all the information from the course but could save themselves 2 days and a chunk of money!  The activities on the holiday are still much the same - the days are now slightly longer and a little more active than they used to be.

Guests have fed back to us that they were initially worried about it being ‘more intense’ but felt that we catered for their abilities completely and they left feeling tired but pleased with how they had done.

As a result of our tests we discovered that guests can achieve the same great results in the shorter holidays so that is the direction we are now following completely.

If you still wish to find a longer course why not consider our additional graduate holiday for those having already completed the normal course - click here for more.
